"But he was pierced for our transgressions,

He was crushed for our inquities,

The punishment that brought us peace was upon him and by his wounds we are healed!

Isaiah 53:5

Your love is worth sharing!

Your wounds are worth honoring!

Your message is worth proclaiming!

Your words are worth living!

Your truth is worth telling!

The truth of a king who humbled himself even to death to save a wretched being like me!

For the wages of sin is death, but God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life!

By its nature sin separated God from men, like a father from his children. That day when Adam and Eve sined is the day when sin entered into the world and as a result the land was cursed with much pain, brokenness, sickness, hunger, corruption and all forms of evil.

The beautiful place God created was distorted, the heart of men became corrupt, and the relationship we had with God sadly was broken!

For that relationship to be restored there had to be a sacrifice for sin. So in his great love and mercy God sent us a savior, his only son Jesus Christ as a sacrifice so by the shedding of his precious blood we might gain forgiveness!

My Lord, the passover lamb was nailed to a cross with thieves and criminals, for a crime he did not commit.

"There is no greater love than this to lay down your life for others" he said

He poured his soul to death and bore the sin of many.

Despised and mistreated

The son of God was oppressed and afflicted,

Yet he did not open his mouth;

he was led like a lamb to the slaughter

and as a sheep before its shearers is silent,

so he did not open his mouth. Isaiah 53:7

All for the sake of fulfilling the prophecies, that which has been written about him from the very beginning.

To this end he was born, and for this cause came he into the world that he may bear witness unto the truth. "Everyone who is of the truth hears my voice" he said.

He is the true light who came to the world.

and the world failed to recognize him. He came to his own people and they did not receive him. Yet whoever did accept him he gave them the power to become children of God!

This is the message of the gospel, God genuinely and unconditionally loves you and wants a relationship with you.

Do you accept his love?
