"The hand of the Lord came upon me and brought me out in the Spirit of the Lord and set me down in the midst of the valley; and it was full of bones. Then He caused me to pass by them all around, and behold, there were very many in the open valley and indeed they were very dry. And He said to me, “Son of man, can these bones live?” So I answered, “O Lord God , You know.” Again He said to me, “Prophesy to these bones, and say to them, ‘O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord ! Thus says the Lord God to these bones: “Surely I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live. I will put sinews on you and bring flesh upon you, cover you with skin and put breath in you; and you shall live. Then you shall know that I am the Lord ” (Ezekiel 37: 1-6)
From self centeredness
From arrogannce and vanity
From self- seeking and self- serving
Revive us again
From backsliding
From laziness and indolence
From spiritual regression
Revive us again
From ungodliness
From impurity
From dishonoring your temple, our bodies
From abusing your grace
Revive us again
From abandoning your law
And drifting away from your ways
From digging broken cisterns which cannot hold water
From deluding ourselves that our thirst will be satisfied.
From being killed by that which entertains us
From being poisoned by what we feed our minds on
Revive us again.
From holding back your truth by feeding on a lie
From running after the flesh seeking after its desires
From undestimating the nature of the most high God we worship
From losing the fear of whom we serve.
Revive us again.
From revolving around ourselves
Caring less about each others needs
From being insensitive towards the pain of our bretheren
From shutting our ears from the cry of our friends
Revive us again
From the lack of empathy
From becoming cold and sensless
From forsaking our first love
From gossiping and envy
Revive us again
From reducing Christianity to a mere set of rules we must follow
From all the misconceptions and lies we hold unto
From our ignorance and foolishness
Revive us again.
From drifting towards compromise
And calling it tolerance
From drifting towards disobedience
And convincing ourselves that we have been liberated.
Revive us again.
From worshiping you with our tongues while crucifying you with our deeds
From singing you songs of praise on Sundays while denying you by our daily fruitless speeches
From preaching on your word without living on your word, deceiving ourselves.
Revive us again
From engaging in foolish talks
Aiming to win an argument
From bringing others down so we might lift ourselves up
From becoming stumbling blocks in the way of fragile souls
Revive us again.
From pursuing meaninglessness
From chasing after the wind
From indulging in sin
From being enslaved by sin
Crushed and damaged under the yoke of its bondage
Revive us again.
From loving the world and standing as enemies to God
From embracing its doctrine
From conforming to its patterns
From running by its corrupt culture
From worshiping you along with other gods
Oh Lord we repent,
Revive us again,
Our souls cling to the dust revive us according to your word!
Bring our hearts back to the place where it belongs!
The word you speak doesnt return to you empty.
Send out a word
To cover us with flesh
To cover up our nakedness, our shame.
Remove the heart of stone
And grant us a heart of flesh,
For all have sinned and fall short from your glory
And yet you eaglry await to embrace us into your loving arms,
Oh how you long for us
How you long to restore the broken and replant the desolate land.
"The Son of man came to seek that which has been lost", to call sinners unto repentance.
Yea, your love exceeds all boundaries,
Revive us unto thyself.
Revive us again.
