Christ is Risen

If the story has ended at the cross..

We would have been the most pitiable of all..

If the story has ended in Calvary

Our faith is in vain.

If it has ended at the cross

Where a mother cried over her son

Where a disciple witnessed the murder of his beloved master

Where agony, anguish and darkness had ruled the scene

our hope would have been lost..

But no..

The story doesn’t end on the hill of suffering

Our story doesn’t end in tears..

On the third day a great light had sprung up

The King of Kings had risen from the grave!!

Weeping may endure for the night

But joy comes in the morning!

For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so was the Son of man three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

God crushed his Son's temple for our sake

But brought him back to life in great glory and power!!

Oh death where is your sting,

Oh grave where is you power?!

You cant hold his body down

The King has silenced you forever..

You have no dominion over us no more

For Christ has disarmed you!

And just as he is Risen, we will rise too.

And on that day when we reuite on the clouds

Those who departed in the flesh

Are going to be awakened back to life

On hearing the sound of his voice.

My King is the resurrection and the life,

Whoever believes in him though he may die,

he shall live and his body shall rise again!

Oh Shout for joy all ye nations!

Make a loud shout of joy!

Let the whole earth rejoice!

The King of Kings is Risen!!!

Our hope is found in him

Our joy is made perfect in him

No one can steal away!

Oh ye enemies of my Lord

Oppressors of my beloved

Take a look at the empty tomb

Take a look at the white linen

Declaring victory by the blood on this glorious day!

With thousands of angels we sing

Worthy is the lamb who was slain,

The Lion of Judah,

the root of David has triumphed!

He is seated on the right hand of God.

All glory and honor, dominion and power to you my King!
